The London Concert Orchestra, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2012, is one of the UK’s most versatile orchestras. Founded by Raymond Gubbay CBE in 1972, the orchestra has provided audiences with performances of the highest quality in all of the major concert venues across the UK.

The orchestra has worked with some of classical music’s most distinguished artists including Sir James Galway, Henry Krips, the Viennese maestro Willi Boskovsky, Katia Ricciarelli, Ian Wallace, Stuart Burrows, Valerie Masterson, John Ogdon, Sherrill Milnes, Ron Goodwin and Dennis O’Neill. More recent collaborations include working with Jonathan Cohen, Lesley Garrett, Ramin Karimloo, Ruthie Henshall, Alistair McGowan and Russell Watson.

The orchestra performs in a large number of concerts each year, with repertoire ranging from opera, ballet and popular classics to hits from films, musicals and the works of the ever-popular Gilbert and Sullivan.

For the seventh consecutive year, the London Concert Orchestra has worked with Anton du Beke and Erin Boag providing the 25-piece big band for their hugely popular UK tours, promoted by Raymond Gubbay.

On the international stage, the orchestra regularly visits the Kultur- und Kongresszentrum in Lucerne, Switzerland, and in December of 2013 they performed at the newly opened Zorlu Center in Istanbul with great success.
