1. CONTACTING US

For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the “Act”), in respect of any personal data that you submit to us on our Site, the data controller is Raymond Gubbay Limited, which is a company incorporated in England and Wales. Please note that we are not the data controller for personal data that you submit and that is collected via third party websites linked to our Site.

2. INFORMATION THAT WE COLLECT FROM YOU

2.1 We may collect information including your contact details (like your name and email address) and demographic information (like your postcode code) that you provide to us by filling in forms on the Site (e.g. registration forms, order forms, surveys and contests), including information provided at the time of registering to use our Site, subscribing for a particular service or product, subscribing to newsletters and/or email notifications, contacting us, posting material or requesting further services that we may provide from time to time.

2.2 We may collect information in relation to transactions that you carry out through the Site and for the fulfilment and delivery of orders for goods and/or services that you subscribe to via the Site. This information will be collected and processed by our third party payment services provider (who is currently RBS WorldPay, although we may also have access to this banking and payment information.

2.3 We will collect information contained in any correspondence between you and us. For example, if you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with the Site or with anything contained on the Site.

2.4 The Site has some initial sections which are accessible to all users of the Site. The Site also has account holder-only sections which are only accessible to users who have registered to have a personal account on the Site (an “Account”). To access and use your Account, you need to become an account holder by registering on the Site. If you decide to register to become an account holder, you will be asked to provide certain information about yourself including your name, email address, password and other contact details, and we will collect and keep this information. (d) RBS WorldPay for the purposes of administering and processing your payment details when you submit an order for any goods via the online shop on our Site;

(e) any person to whom disclosure is necessary to enable us to enforce our rights under this Privacy Policy and other agreements, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Raymond Gubbay Limited, our customers, users or others. 5.3 If you have any queries or complaints in relation to such third party sites, content, advertisements and/or links which feature or can be accessed via our Site, please Contact Us. We will try our best to assist with your queries and complaints although please note that we may not be the data controller in respect of the data that you submitted or is collected via such third party sites therefore we may not be able to do anything.

6. SECURITY AND DATA RETENTION

6.1 We employ security measures to protect your information from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. We will retain your information for the duration of your account membership of the Site (where available) or for a reasonable period or as long as the law requires or permits.

6.2 We will store all the personal information you provide (where applicable), on our secure servers.

6.3 In relation to all electronic transactions that you make via our Site and that are processed by our third party payment service provider (which is currently RBS WorldPay) will be encrypted using SSL technology, which is an industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commercial transactions. It encrypts all of your credit card numbers so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the internet.

6.4 Data transmission over the internet is inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.

6.5 You are responsible for keeping any passwords, login details and user details confidential.

7. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

7.1 Our servers are situated in the UK, however we collect data from wherever users are situated. The information that we collect may therefore be transferred to the UK from any other country in which you may be located and will be subject to UK data protection laws rather than the laws of the country in which you are resident.

7.2 Your personal data may be transferred, processed and/or stored outside the European Economic Area. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

You may request us to cease processing your data at any time but if you withdraw your consent to certain types of processing described above we may be unable to maintain your membership of the Site.
