Christmas at Blenheim

England’s Finest View Lights Up For Christmas

Discover a new magical Christmas Trail at Blenheim Palace from November 25th, 2016 – January 2nd, 2017 as the ‘Capability’ Brown Parkland transforms into a winter wonderland.

For the very first time, the picture perfect Oxfordshire parkland will be illuminated for an unforgettable after dark festive trail along winding paths, beside tranquil waters and through extraordinary historic parkland.

Explore the scented Fire Garden; a circular carpet of dancing flames, adorned with lanterns, set against the backdrop of glittering ancient woodland outlined in Christmas colour that stretches high into the night-sky.

Discover Christmas trees that sing, a swaying lawn of fibre optic colour and sparkling hedgerows.

The lake will be aglow with brightly-lit boats filled with snowflakes and presents while, in the distance, fountain jets dance and the woodland across the great lake vista springs to life in time to much-loved Christmas music.

Other highlights include the fairy-lit arbour and the lakeside Boat House which becomes Santa Claus's secret Oxfordshire home for Christmas

The waterfall cascades will also be bathed in light and the Temple of Diana, where Winston Churchill proposed, will become the perfect romantic setting.

Visitors will be able to complete their winter stroll with spiced cider, mulled wine or hot chocolate whilst the aroma of roasting chestnuts fills the air. Toast your own marshmallows, ride the vintage carousel and enjoy Blenheim Palace’s well stocked gift shops, tasty treats and other traditional fare.

The trail has been specially designed to appeal for visitors of all ages to enjoy. The Great Outdoors made magical.
